Our client is a reputable Internet Service Provider based in Kampala. They provide Internet Services, Security and Surveillance, ICT & Telecommunication, Power Solutions & Renewable Infrastructure, Backup and Storage. They would like to fill 2 positions.
PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE:
- To achieve the sales target as set by the General Manager.
- To support the operational day-to-day activities of the business, driving it to a new level of operational excellence, efficiency and effectiveness. In a manner that will optimize the market share and savings, improve the business’ adeptness, help achieve the mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service.
- To use your market knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products, for which a certain level of expertise is needed.
- To assist colleagues with bids and tenders for clients from a technical perspective.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Responsible for achieving the set Targets, objectives, maximizing products/solutions’ contribution through exploiting OEMs and company primary products while maintaining cost controls.
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
- Make Sales presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs.
- Work with the Business Development team to ensure the sales, turnover and cost targets in the short, medium and long term, and achieve agreed profit targets.
- Work with the General Manager to formulate the technical department strategy and achieve targets, responsible for regular planning and ensuring that the monthly target figures are laid down in an annual business plan per solution.
- Working with clients’ management teams to understand particular business strategies.
- Ensure the achievement of the maximum quality of services, service level agreements and exceeding customer expectations, ensuring adherence to policies and standards of Customer service.
- Increasing the revenue opportunity within each solution/product portfolio as it relates to utilizing additional services or offering, ensuring customer focus is prioritized at all times.
- Responsible for meeting annual revenue target assigned to solution/products.
- Ensuring a solution/product pipeline of X3 of the target at every point in time
- Inputting all activities in an ERP and ensuring proper usage compliance.
- Assist Business Development Managers with accounts receivables to ensure that a client’s account is never past the due date.
- Search for new clients who might benefit from products or services and maximize client potential in designated accounts.
- Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements.
- Establish and coordinate planned visits at the customer location.
- Provide support to additional departments when required, as required.
- Tracking and escalation of client issues. Upholding high standards of service levels.
- Being the client’s advocate to ensure that all issues and programming change requests are addressed and completed by the due date.
- Inform clients of new services, partnerships, and/or products as they are announced or released.
- Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team.
- Weekly/daily analysis of reports and implementation of action plans where necessary.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Bachelor degree in Business any related field.
- 3-5 years experience with a reputable IT/ISP company.
